About the Event
The Classical Guitar department celebrates the rich legacy of outstanding guitar ensembles at USC with an evening of student, alumni, and faculty performances. Highlights include works by Vivaldi, Joplin, Hendrix, and a journey into Super Mario Bros. you won’t want to miss! Faculty member William Kanengiser directs and solos with the USC Guitar Orchestra and performs a movement from “the Walls” by Sergio Assad. The evening culminates with the GRAMMY Award-winning alums of the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet honoring their 40th anniversary in a broadcast premiere of “Aerial Boundaries” by Micheal Hedges.
This event will broadcast on Thornton/LIVE at thorntonlive.usc.edu. RSVP is recommended, but not required.
